Big Day!

Today is a big day at Cyber Camp. So far today we have had some free time (we talked about the spring musical mostly, and reviewed crime scene procedures.) Then the students processed the crime scene. They did an awesome job making the diagram, connecting DNA evidence, and lifting fingerprints. Next we learned about different types of technologies used at crime scenes. My favorite was the fancy camera that lets them see prints, fluids, etc. in the daylight! But, it could burn your eyes so you have to be careful using it. After a yummy lunch (chicken nuggets!) we went to visit the Scholars College (which needs an apostrophe, but that button will not work on my keyboard right now. No contractions for me!) and got recruiting packets for the students. Right now the students are doing a cryptology exercise, so I took advantage of the opportunity to blog! Up next is stegnography, and then DNA. We just got to meet the Assistant Director of the Cyber Innovation Center. They are the people who helped set up this program. Tonight, the head of the nursing department at NSU is coming to eat dinner with one of our students who is interested in nursing. I will let you know how the rest of the day goes later. Hopefully the students will have more time to blog later, as well!
